My photography journal

My class ended last week. Of course, I got an A. Yea! I am planning to continue my blog because it was a lot of fun and it keeps me practicing photography. I learned a lot in this class but there is still so much more to learn. So I am taking Digital Photography 2 in the fall. I am so excited for it. Now to learn Photoshop this summer...

January 2011
I am in the first week of a semester long digital photography class. My instructor has assigned a daily visual journal that requires me to take a photograph a day. ONLY ONE??? Once I have the camera out, I can't imagine I will end up with just one photograph. I am sure Logan and Ryan will star in many of my shots. Maybe an occasional cookie shot. I see this project being a documentation of daily life but sometimes creativity has a way of pushing its way in.

This is also my first blog. Look at all the new things I am learning! If you can't tell, I am very excited for this project. I will choose the best (or at least my favorite) photograph from each day to post here.

“N”

A friend of mine likes to have professional photos of her kids. Her youngest daughter is turning three in early August- time for another photo session. I offered to take them for her because I really want to practice portraits with people that don’t live with me. The session was a lot of fun for me and we got a few really good shots. N was a great model.

I bought white background paper which worked really well. I think next time I will need a light or two to supplement the natural light. It looks like I need to plan a trip to the camera store.
