My photography journal

My class ended last week. Of course, I got an A. Yea! I am planning to continue my blog because it was a lot of fun and it keeps me practicing photography. I learned a lot in this class but there is still so much more to learn. So I am taking Digital Photography 2 in the fall. I am so excited for it. Now to learn Photoshop this summer...

I am in the first week of a semester long digital photography class. My instructor has assigned a daily visual journal that requires me to take a photograph a day. ONLY ONE??? Once I have the camera out, I can't imagine I will end up with just one photograph. I am sure Logan and Ryan will star in many of my shots. Maybe an occasional cookie shot. I see this project being a documentation of daily life but sometimes creativity has a way of pushing its way in.

This is also my first blog. Look at all the new things I am learning! If you can't tell, I am very excited for this project. I will choose the best (or at least my favorite) photograph from each day to post here.

“Cootie gitter”

Yes, I believe that is the technical term. Who remembers these little guys? This was a blast from my past. Fifth or sixth grade, maybe? It was another terrific Tuesday with Missy and Owen. We went to their house to play and do crafts. Missy mentioned this little critter and I actually remembered how to make them. And we did. It was a lot of fun and made us both smile. (Which we both needed today!) I tried to teach Logan how to work it but he needs a little more practice (or a longer attention span, I’m not sure).

I love her beautiful counter tops. They pair nicely with the window’s natural light for a still shot.
