My photography journal

My class ended last week. Of course, I got an A. Yea! I am planning to continue my blog because it was a lot of fun and it keeps me practicing photography. I learned a lot in this class but there is still so much more to learn. So I am taking Digital Photography 2 in the fall. I am so excited for it. Now to learn Photoshop this summer...

I am in the first week of a semester long digital photography class. My instructor has assigned a daily visual journal that requires me to take a photograph a day. ONLY ONE??? Once I have the camera out, I can't imagine I will end up with just one photograph. I am sure Logan and Ryan will star in many of my shots. Maybe an occasional cookie shot. I see this project being a documentation of daily life but sometimes creativity has a way of pushing its way in.

This is also my first blog. Look at all the new things I am learning! If you can't tell, I am very excited for this project. I will choose the best (or at least my favorite) photograph from each day to post here.

Family Bowling

Jason and I took the boys bowling for the first time this morning. Games were only 99 cents! They just loved it. Logan didn’t want any help. He just grabbed a ball, ran up to the lane and threw it. He did pretty well, too. The smallest ball weighs over 1/3 of his weight so he needed a lot of help. But he did alright, too. (The lane had bumpers that came up when it was Logan or Ryan’s turn.) The boys did so well they were ahead of me for awhile. I had to pull it together to beat them. Whew! It was close. Jason and I haven’t been bowling in years. We were very impressed with this Brunswick and plan to go back for date night sometime soon.

The bowling alley was so dark we had to use the flash. I hate using the flash but I had to have documentation of Logan’s first trip to the bowling alley. When you’re documenting childhood, mediocre pictures are better than nothing, right?
