Another self portrait attempt- Running
Jason and I were at Barnes & Noble last night.  I read through a very interesting book called Self Portrait Photography by Nataie Dybisz.  It started me thinking again about self portraits.  I don’t necessarily love being photographed (I feel awkward) nor do I want a ton of images of myself (it feels a little vain).  But the appealing part is that I am willing to cooperate with myself to get the image I want.  I have mentioned before, it is hard to find good subjects while I am learning.  Jason would rather build something to make photography easier or find a great deal on a new lens.  The boys, well, their attention spans rival that of a goldfish.  So I am back to me.
Today, it was slightly cooler than the last few days so I gathered the boys and my camera equipment.  We walked down to the junior high track to work on my new idea: combining running and photography.  Well, I learned that 95 degrees is hotter to my boys than it is to me.  I also learned I want (need) a new tripod and a polarizer lens cover.  I enlisted Logan to operate the remote for me but it gave us a little trouble.  The boys didn’t last very long so we headed for home.  Overall, it was a good experience.  I need more practice.  My next photo class will be starting in about 5 weeks- so excited!  In the meantime, I am planning to work on images of things other than the boys.  Maybe practice and/or learn a new technique.
