My photography journal

My class ended last week. Of course, I got an A. Yea! I am planning to continue my blog because it was a lot of fun and it keeps me practicing photography. I learned a lot in this class but there is still so much more to learn. So I am taking Digital Photography 2 in the fall. I am so excited for it. Now to learn Photoshop this summer...

I am in the first week of a semester long digital photography class. My instructor has assigned a daily visual journal that requires me to take a photograph a day. ONLY ONE??? Once I have the camera out, I can't imagine I will end up with just one photograph. I am sure Logan and Ryan will star in many of my shots. Maybe an occasional cookie shot. I see this project being a documentation of daily life but sometimes creativity has a way of pushing its way in.

This is also my first blog. Look at all the new things I am learning! If you can't tell, I am very excited for this project. I will choose the best (or at least my favorite) photograph from each day to post here.

The pet owl

My parents live in an “older” neighborhood where houses have several huge trees. Over the last couple years, owls have moved to the neighborhood. This particular owl thinks my old swing set is his perch. He (or she) sits up there watching the world go by. Maybe he’s waiting for just the right time to snag Gino (their 10lb Brussels Griffon).
